The Village Pottery can be found in the quiet seaside Village of Old Field, NY. An experienced potter, educated as an anatomist, Lise Sasson has a passion for human and all organic form. A teacher, and Certified Art Therapy Practitioner, she has a passion for guiding students, individually, to a deeper, more meaningful understanding of their art and the natural world.

Along with small group camps (max. 4 students), private learning sessions are offered, featuring wheel thrown, slab and hand built clay. Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your skills, you will be guided every step the way.

Join our quarterly specialized small group workshops, where you can dive into the world of surface design! Explore techniques including sgrafitto, stamping, carving, and underglaze transferring. Craft your own unique pieces!

Seasonal workshops led by an exceptional team of potters will be offered. We will explore different methods of firing pottery; raku, reduction (gas), soda, wood, and pit firing techniques. Seasonal workshops will be located on site as well as off-property.

(At this time wood firing is offered as a field trip, offsite)
